Mutazioni Cariologiche Indotte da Raggi Ultravioletti su Cellule Apicali di Scilla Obtusifolia Poir.

RIASSUNTOL'Autore prende in esame gli effetti citologici indotti dalle radiazioni ultraviolette culle cellule apicali delle radici di Scilla obtusifolia Poir., che come e noto (MARTINOLI, 1949) e una specie a cariagramma semplice perche fornita di 2n = 8.Gli apici radicali sono stati sottoposti ad una sorgente di radiazioni ultraviolette, senza filtri, prodotta dalla Burdick Corporation Milton Wisconsin. I trattamenti durarono da 5′ a 30′ e furono continui o frazionati, in temperatura ambiente da 14° a 18° ed investirono soltanto le radici bene sviluppate.Le curvature osservate non furono studiate dal lato cito-istologico poiche l'Autore si e riservato di farne uno studio particolareggiato; furono invece prese in considerazione le malformazioni cromosomiche che si possono riassumere nelle seguenti forme: 1) Inibizione della mitosi per lungo tempo a tutte le differenti irradiazioni sia continue che frazionate;2) Notevoli fenomeni di agglutinazione, scarsa facolta di frammentazioni cromosomiche e generalmen...
