Performance Analysis of GEFS and GEVS Anti-Islanding Methods for Three-Phase Grid Connected Photovoltaic Systems

An active anti-islanding method for three-phase inverters is proposed in this paper. The method is based on the General Electric Frequency Shift and General Electric Voltage Shift. They were slightly modified while focusing on the improvement of performance when implemented alongside each other. Those methods allow the inverter to minimize the Non-Detection Zone by altering the gain accordingly. The proposed solution was tested in a three-level three-phase inverter of 30 kW through simulation. A 10 kW operational lab model was adapted to test the anti-islanding in a single-phase inverter. Simulated and practical results were according to the range described by the national standard ABNT NBR IEC 62116.
