But the very best bit of comedy in the book may be unintentional (I can’t quite tell). ‘‘Elephant-groping’’ is the topic on page 48, and Hart asks us to consider ‘‘How does the locatedness of the observer definewhichbody part is given prominence?’’How indeed. This is a strong book by a strong researcher. Despite my latter tirade, it’s absolutely worth reading.
