Scheme Evaluation of Bus Lane Planning Considering Environmental Impact

In order to meet the need of sustainable development in urban traffic, fuel consumptions and pollutant emissions were selected as environmental evaluation indexes in the evaluation process of bus lane planning. The microscopic traffic simulation model VISSIM and the modal emissions model CMEM were combined to output the traffic and environmental evaluation index values in decision. The planning decision model was established by using analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to determine the weights of the evaluating indicators and taking the degree of gray incidence as the evaluation criteria. Taking Taiping North road of Nanjing as an example, this paper analyzed the traffic and environmental influence of bus lanes which were set respectively on the lateral and central of the road. The result shows that it is very different whether the environmental influence is considered in planning or not.
