A nonequilibrium stage model of multicomponent separation processes—V. Computational methods for solving the model equations

Abstract This paper looks at the computational aspects of separation process simulation using a nonequilibrium stage model. Some of the ways in which nonequilibrium simulations are similar to or different from equilibrium stage calculations are discussed, and computational techniques that can be used to solve the nonequilibrium model equations are described.
