Air interface rate adjusting method, network-side device and user equipment

Provided are an air interface rate adjusting method, a network-side device and a user equipment. The method includes: a network-side device determining a first air interface rate according to the air interface quality reported by a user equipment, determining a second air interface rate according to the first air interface rate, and sending to the user equipment indication information for indicating the first air interface rate and the second air interface rate; generating a first transmission data block according to the second air interface rate, dividing the first transmission data block into N second transmission data blocks, and performing adaptation processing on the N second transmission data blocks according to the first air interface rate; and performing channel coding and modulation processing on the N second transmission data blocks which have been adapted according to the first air interface rate to obtain a first modulated signal and sending same to the user equipment. The air interface rate adjusting method, network-side device and user equipment provided in the embodiments of the present invention realize that data transmission can be performed at a rate greater than uttermost N times air interface quality requirements.
