An Inverter with Large Fault-tolerant Space for Battery Storage in Islanded Microgrid

A topology of fault-tolerant inverter with large fault-tolerant space is proposed in this paper. It can be applied to the battery storage. The inverter circuit needs to be reconstructed to keep system running normally when the power switches are faulty. The control strategy is proposed. The fault-tolerant inverter doesn't need to convert the control algorithm from the normal operation state to the fault operation state. The system reliability is improved. The system stability is analyzed. Simulation results verify the correctness of the topology of fault-tolerant inverter and the control strategy for battery storage in islanded microgrid.
