An example of a declarative approach to model creation

Model creation tools are often closely coupled to the target mathematical structures. In the case of constrained optimisation, model creation is normally via the concepts of matrix or linear algebra, and thus perhaps only indirectly related to the objects and concepts of the problem domain. A translation from problem structure to mathematical structure is necessary.
