Defining a new frame based on IEEE 802.15.4 for having the synchronized mesh networks with channel hopping capability

In this paper a new frame based on the IEEE 802.15.4 standard for having a time-synchronized mesh network, by using the beacon only period (BOP) at the first time region of the frame for sending the beacons, is introduced. By using the frequency we increase the number of links that can be active in the same slot, same as the Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP) in wirelessHART and ISA-SP100. In our frame we consider four time regions, in the first time region the beacons are sent, in the second time region the MAC commands are sent which we call Contention Access Period (CAP) where the nodes use CSMA/CA to send their data and compete with each other. The last two time regions are called TDMA/FDMA1 and TDMA/FDMA2, where in the former the data generated cyclically are sent by the nodes, and in the latter the event based data are sent towards the gateway.
