The influence of fibre ultrastructural damage on pulp and paper properties

Damage of papermaking fibers is not an unambiguous concept. Fiber damage can also be an internal. Internal damage is not necessarily seen visually, but should be seen as decreased fiber strength and compromised fiber network properties. The objective of this study is to show the existence of internal fiber damage.
