High-performance Detection Algorithm of Alamouti-SOQPSK- TG Telemetry System

In the telemetry system, the same signal transmitted by the two antennas respectively will lead self-interference problem for one receive antenna. It is verified that space time coding (STC) can be used to solve this “two antenna problem”. Consequently, the Alamouti-SOQPSK-TG telemetry system is proposed. In order to reduce the detection complexity of the system while ensuring high error performance, this paper proposes the simplified algorithm which called modified pulse truncation (PT). Compared with the Alamouti-SOQPSK-TG telemetry system based on 8-waveform cross-correlation trellis-coded quadrature modulation (XTCQM), the simulation shows that error performance of system based on the novel method is increased by 1.5dB when the bit error rate is 10−5. In addition, the anti-delay performance is comparable as the low complexity algorithm is utilized in the telemetry system.
