Microstrip filter and power divider with improved out-of-band rejection for a Ku-band input multiplexer

Two microstrip power combiners/dividers with filtering capabilities for a Ku-band Input Multiplexer (IMUX) has been developed and measured. The requirements consist of low insertion loss in a wide passband, high selectivity and restrictive out-of-band attenuation characteristics. The devices are competitive with similar waveguide structures, while achieving significant improvements in dimensions and weight, at a much lower cost.
