Design of secure key agreement protocol for pairing in RF4CE

Advance of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technologies brought deployment to various areas such as consumer electronics. Radio Frequency for Consumer Electronics (RF4CE) is a new standard for remote controller that substitutes legacy IR based technologies, and enables enhanced use without the LOI problems. However, current RF4CE standard has weak security architecture that the key agreement is operated as clear text. Thus, we propose a key agreement protocol for RF4CE that the key seed information is shared between the consumer device and manufacturer.
