Method for detecting and controlling error of high voltage main relay

A method for detecting and controlling an error of a high voltage battery main relay is provided to prevent damage of a pre-charge relay and a resistor previously by automatically turning off the high voltage battery main relay when the error is detected. A method for detecting and controlling an error of a high voltage battery main relay includes the steps of: turning on a plurality of high voltage battery main relays in a predetermined order(S3,S4,S5); measuring a temperature of a resistor linked with normal operation states of the main relays(S6); and turning off the high voltage battery main relays by determining the error of the high voltage battery main relay when the measured temperature of the resistor is higher than a reference temperature(S7,S8).
