Application of Grey Entropy Method to Analyze Influencing Factors of Durability of Asphalt Mixture under Freeze-thaw and Corrosion

Few research has been done on the durability of asphalt mixture under freeze-thaw and corrosion at home and abroad.Through vacuum water-saturated freeze-thaw splitting test, the attenuation law of performance of asphalt mixture under the accelerated deterioration action of Na2SO4 solution with different concentrations including 2.5%,5% and 10% was evaluated by freeze-thaw corrosion factor. Then, the grey entropy method was applied to analyse the significance of influencing factors of the durability of asphalt mixture under freeze-thaw and corrosion such as freeze-thaw times,Na2SO4 solution concentration, aggregate gradation, asphalt content and air voids. The test results show that(1) sulfate corrosion exacerbated the damage effect of freezing and thawing cycle on asphalt mixture;(2) the main factors influencing the durability of asphalt mixture are aggregate gradation, asphalt content and air voids. The result can provide a beneficial reference for the design and construction of asphalt mixture used in salt enrichment regions.
