GENERAL ENGINEERS FORM SOCIETY This week has seen the creation of a General Engineering Society at L.T.I., open to students of that course who wish to meet other people with a common interest in General Engineering. The three general purposes of the society as stated in the bylaws are to provide a medium whereby students of General Engineering can meet and exchange viewpoints, to develop its members professionally, and to develop leadership in its members. All upperclassmen enrolled in the Course are eligible to join. No freshman, however, will be allowed to join. Membership is by application and is subject to approval by a committee. The dues are two dollars pe r person per month. Meetings of the sjc.oly will be held monthly, date and time to be announced, and these meetings promise to be interesting and helpful. Officers of the new organization are as follows: Herbert Fearing, president; Wil. liam Beilis, vice president; Paul R. Lemieux, secretary; Albert Korellshn, treasurer. Mr. Frederick B. Bischoff has been appointed us faculty adviser to the newly formed group. The General Engineering Society is a welcome addition here at L.T.I., and its high goals and aims should assure a good measure of success.
