Performance of Single Crystal Silicon Photovoltaic Module in Bruneian Climate

This article deals with the electrical characteristics of a single crystal photovoltaic module in the Bruneian climate. Experiments have been conducted in the Department of Physics, University of Brunei Darussalam. This study includes the measurements of open circuit voltage, short circuit current, maximum output power and efficiency of the module. The dependence of these parameters on working temperature and irradiance has been computed and the coefficients of dependence are established. The correlations have been presented to evaluate the electrical parameters of photovoltaic devices at any working temperature with reference to the standard test conditions in any region of the globe having the similar climate to Brunei Darussalam.
