Load balancing method and apparatus, routing device and user equipment

A load balancing method and apparatus, a routing device and a user equipment, which solve the problems in the prior art that Wi-Fi AP resources on the routing device are wasted and the stability and the visiting speed of the user equipment visiting a wireless network cannot be ensured. The method comprises: determining a first Wi-Fi access point of a routing device that a user equipment accesses or requests to access; when determining that the load of the first Wi-Fi access point reaches a corresponding load threshold, determining at least one second Wi-Fi access point, the load of which does not reach the corresponding load threshold; generating an indication message, the indication message being used for instructing the user equipment to switch to one of the second Wi-Fi access points; and sending the indication message to the user equipment.
