A new method to obtain the IR images without the infrared thermo-imager is proposed. It is the clou that inverting the 3D scene of the target, which have the same geometry and material information as the objects in the real world, to IR scene according to the working principal of the thermo-imager. The superficial temperatures of all the objects in the 3D scene calculated beforehand, represent the total received radiation power by the simulated thermo-imager. Thus the temperatures on condition of the internal working parameters of the simulated thermo-imager, can be worked out. The IR scene then is formed after converting these temperatures to the value of colors according to the relationship between the temperature and the value of color. The IR image in any angle or distance of views, eventually was obtained. The experimental results show that this method, that is, inverting the 3D scene to obtain the IR images, is not only in good effectiveness but also are in high efficiency.
