10 Hz – 20 kHz single-axis magnetic field meter

In this paper, a single-axis instrument for measuring low-frequency magnetic fields up to 200 μT is presented. It consists of an external loop sensor, an analog front-end (AFE) and a data acquisition module developed around a powerful PIC microcontroller. Software for data logging via the USB interface has also been developed. The instrument can be primarily used for assessing the human exposure to magnetic fields.
