A Systematic Literature Review Regarding the Use of Multicriteria Methods towards Development of Decision Support Systems in Health Management

Abstract This article aims to characterize scientific production regarding the development of Decision Support Systems based on multicriteria methods for the health management sector. Using the bibliometrics technique, health management segments applying multicriteria methods were identified, and an examination was conducted of the multicriteria methods employed, the countries where these studies were carried out, the most cited authors, the number of papers published per year, and the most frequent keywords. Findings indicated that the Analytic Hierarchy Process was the multicriteria method employed most often and that Health Technology Assessment was the most prominent segment for multicriteria application.
