Equivalent Model for Induction-motor Load Connected to High Voltage Bus

In the paper, an equivalent model for an induction motor load moved to high-voltage bus from low-voltage bus is presented, the reactance of distribution network and reactive power compensation connected to low voltage bus considered. The equivalent model has the same mathematical equations as the original induction motor at low voltage bus. Only by modifying the parameters and the initial load factor of the motor, the synthetical characteristics of the induction motor load, the reactance of distribution network and reactive power compensation are equivalently modeled. The research result gives a reference for selecting parameters of induction motor load model in power system simulation.
