High-dynamic-range image generation system and method

The invention provides a high-dynamic-range image generation system which comprises a light source and a high-dynamic-range image generation module. The light source can be arranged around a shooting object to provide the shooting object with first color light, second color light and third color light which are different in light intensity. The high-dynamic-range image generation module can include a component acquisition unit and a processing unit. The component acquisition unit acquires image data of a first color component grayscale image, a second color component grayscale image and a third color component grayscale image from an image of the shooting object captured by an image capture element under the irradiation of the light source. The processing unit obtains the image irradiance of each pixel of each component grayscale image on a corresponding point of the shooting image based on component grayscale image data obtained by the component acquisition unit and through calibrated first color component, second color component and third color component response functions of the image capture element so as to generate a high-dynamic-range image. The invention further provides a corresponding method. The system and the method can be used for generating a HDR image in real time.
