Inter-Cell Interference Coordination in Heterogeneous Networks with Open Access of Small Cells

This work investigates inter-cell interference coordination (ICIC) in heterogeneous environment, which includes inter-cell interference within macro and small cells. heterogeneous system with interference coordination strategy is proposed in a networks with consider multiple input multiple output (MIMO) antennas. In this cases, small cells with open access is considered due to small cells is installed independently by user. In order to mitigate inter-user interference, a block diagonalization (BD) pre-coding algorithm is adopted. BD pre-coding is used to coordinate the transmissions across a macro and multiple small cells in a network. The power allocation based on water-filling algorithm is used in this paper. Based on the simulation result, our system with ICIC in open access small cells shows good performances compare to the previous algorithm.
