Molecular Cloning of Rat USF 2 cDNA of Splicing Variants

the entire sequence but encocled short peptides of an N-terminal portion of USF2FL. Overexpressien of USF2FL increased the transcription of the human high aMnity IgE receptor (FceRI) a chain gene through specific binding to the CAGCTG motif in the firstintron. On the other hand, oyerexpression of USF2Al or A2 reduced the transcription of the human FceRI a chain gene. Both USF2FL and USF2Al bound to CACGTG as well as CAGCTG, while USF2A2 bound te CACGTG but not to CAGCTG. These results suggested the presence of a different and definltiye rele ef
