Mining Research of Medical Record Information on Use of Antimicrobial Agents for Type I Incision Operation

AbstractTo improve the efficiency of invocation on medical records of patients using antimicrobial agents for type I incision operation and to meet the medical quality control requirements. Associated information, including the basic information, diagnosis, operation, variety of used antimicrobial agents, prophylactic opportunity, and whether the medication time is rational, of the type I incision operation cases is retrieved and compared by utilizing a hospital information system (HIS) medical record database of the hospital and using an SQL statement, thereby effectively finding out the problematic cases and further performing follow-up study according to the found problems. The method makes full use of electronic medical records, greatly reduces the number of off-the-shelf paper-based medical records, improves the check mode of antimicrobial agents used for the type I incision operation, and improves the work efficiency to supply the medical record information.
