An Open NC System Based on Wireless Communication Technology

Traditional NC system supports the measurement of equipment but this system is based on the wired network. This system has advantages and disadvantages at the same time. The wired NC System has accurate transfer rate but has more additional expense and not supporting the mobility. For this reason, we proposed a new open NC system model based on wireless communication technology. In this paper, which consists of two parts: a part of the mobile handheld controller, that is NC PDA; the other part is installed on the machine, to completion traditional PLC and motion control functions, known as embedded machine tool controller. Between the two parts achieve interconnection through the Wi-Fi (IEEE802.11) wireless communications interface.
