Four‐element TEM horn array for radiating ultra‐wideband electromagnetic pulses

In this paper, ultra-wideband arrays using interconnected transverse electromagnetic (TEM) horns are studied. The paper analyzes the radiation characteristics of four-element arrays using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method. The computed results for arrays are compared with those for the single TEM horn and two-element array. Some properties of the four-element array, such as the input impedance, voltage standing-wave ratio, and energy pattern, are presented in this paper. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
