In order to know the effect of O2 on the process of removing NO by using dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) method, a home-made cylinder reactor was used to remove NO from the simulated flue gas, then the effect of NO removing-rate and DBD energy consumption were also given; Related chemical kinetics simulations were motioned. The experimnet results showed that increasing the volume of O2 restrained the NO removing-rate and enhanced the formation rate of NO2. The simulations presented that the reaction rate of N+NO→N2+O reduced which lead to the approximate balance of the formation and breakdown of NO. Therefore, adding O2 inhibit removing rate of NO by DBD.
