PROPOSAL FOR A LOW-COST WORKBENCH FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION TEACHING ACCORDING TO SAFETY STANDARDS

The present article aims to present the design of a didactic bench for teaching in the field of industrial automation, regulating in the current safety standards, proposing a good quality product with low cost, when comparing cost / benefit to other benches on the market. The implementation of this project provides a differential of teaching, as it allows students to put into practice what are taught in the classroom, through the method “learning by doing”. The methodology is qualitative involving design. For comparative purposes, were made budgets of didactic benches already exist in trade. The items of current safety standards applicable to didactic banking were described and a computerized three-dimensional model was also produced. Finally, it can be concluded that the development of this project is an attractive investment for the institution, because it has low cost and flexibility in its use, reducing a gap between theory and practice.
