Design of an IGBT based electronic circuit breaker

Electronic circuit breakers (ECB) are in their nascent stage. Because they are little more complex and cost more than other circuit breakers, only a few companies are manufacturing electronic circuit breakers. Most of the electronic circuit breakers are utilized in high voltage to protect the high voltage system. The objectives of this project are to focus on low voltage system protections and committing to reduce response time. The main operating component in our design is IGBT, which has far more advantages compared to other similar devices.
