A 3D(Dimensional) mouse using a camera is provided to perform pointing on glass or mirror, output absolute coordinates of a mouse cursor by measuring a relative position between the camera and a mark, and realize 3D pointing by measuring a relative 3D position between the camera and the mark. A maker main unit includes a mark(MK) and the mark includes more than four feature points, and a camera main unit includes a camera(CAM) for capturing the mark. An image processor generates a pointing or user-defined signal by analyzing the feature points of the mark from an image captured by the camera. The camera main unit includes a mouse type case(MS) having a hole formed on the bottom surface and the camera installed to the inside of the case. The marker main unit includes a pad having the mark installed to a position facing the camera. The image processor detects a polygon formed by the feature points included in the captured image, calculates a relative position between the camera and the polygon by analyzing a shape and a size of the detected polygon, and outputs a pointing signal based on the relative position.
