Cluster-glass behaviour of the substituted molybdenum ferrite: a magnetic and Mössbauer study

Magnetic and Mossbauer spectroscopy studies have been carried out to investigate the ferrite Fe2Mo0.6Ti0.4O4. Zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) data, hysteresis loops, coercivity measurements, Mossbauer analysis and magnetic relaxation measurements show the presence of a cluster-glass behaviour. All of the results indicate that the ferrite may consist of two components: ferrimagnetic clusters and an antiferromagnetic matrix. The ferrimagnetic cluster may be Mo rich and has a compensation temperature, and its Curie temperature is higher than that of the antiferromagnetic matrix.
