Angiographic Demonstration of Carcinoma of the Gallbladder

The angiographic diagnosis of malignant gallbladder tumors is discussed, and the authors' 6 cases and those reported by Deutsch are reviewed. The importance of the uneven thick-wall sign in angiographic diagnosis is emphasized. Resectable cases reported by Deutsch give hope that the extremely poor prognosis may be improved by more frequent use of celiac and superior mesenteric angiography, particularly in elderly females with a history of chronic cholecystitis.
