Application of the “TAS” Procedure to the Testing of Volatile Oil-Cyclodextrin Complexes

AbstractApplication of the “TAS” procedure enables the rapid and direct analysis of volatile oil β-cyclodextrin complexes. Thermofractionation and testing of heat stability of complexes can also be carried out by the method. Heat stability of volatile oils contained in the complex is high: they become completely free when the skeleton of cyclodextrin decomposes. The method is simple and quick and well suited to qualitative and semi-quantitative investigations.
