Three-dimensional parallel electric surveying and its applications in water disaster exploration in coal mines

A self-developed network parallel electricity instrument and its survey acquisition system were used to synchronously measure current and voltage over whole electrodes arranged in the laneways of the mine work face, realized 3D electrical synchronous survey of subsurface. Then the 3D resistivity structure of the covered area in the working face was obtained using 3D resistivity inversion technique. It is an effective geophysical prospecting method for the investigations of hydrological and engineering geology in the work face. The technology breaks through the limit of 2D mine electrical survey, got the 3D apparent electrical data in the base plate of the work face for the first time.Applications in different mines working faces show that the water disaster in the base plate can be well located using the technique,it offers accurate information for the mine water disaster prevention and control.
