SUV 루프캐리어에 장착된 자전거 주위 유동 해석

In this research, the drag force effect of a bicycle with or without fairing mounted on SUV roof carriers is investigated experimentally. Flow visualization with smoke-wire technique and measurement of mean velocity profiles for reduced vehicle models in a wind tunnel are performed. The results of flow visualization experiment are analyzed and then compared qualitatively and quantitatively. As expected in general, it is proved that there is less energy loss in case of a bicycle with fairing, however, much detailed and useful information can not be achieved due to the complicated configuration of a 3-D bicycle model.
