Investigations on High-speed Actuator of Vacuum DC Circuit Breaker

According to the characteristic of large fault current and small time constant of the ship DC system,simulation analysis and experimental investigations are carried out on high-speed actuator of vacuum DC circuit breaker based on the principle of artificial current zero.The opening force of this high-speed actuator is generated by an electrodynamic drive based on eddy effect.A three-dimensional finite element model of the electrodynamic drive is established.The dynamic characteristic of the mechanism is simulated.And a prototype is built according to the parameters of the simulation model.The current waveforms and the mechanical movement characteristic of the prototype correspond with the simulation result.
