Gender and technology in education: what the research tells us

Though research studying the intersection of gender and technology in education is in no way a new occurrence, the fact that there are still many unanswered questions concerning this intersection justifies the importance of continuing diligence in the investigation of their correlation. Their intersection is not limited to just the classroom, but reverberates through the educational institution and through the society as a whole. This paper is an abbreviated global review of the research concerning gender and technology in education from the early 1980s to 2005.
