An Input-Output Package for Mimo Non-Linear Control Systems

Abstract A general input-output approach to multi-input-multi-output nonlinear control systemjin the time domain as an interactive computer-aided technique has been developed and implemented on a mini-computer. Functional analysis techniques in abstract algebraic structures of system operators and signal spaces are employed to describe interconnection system relationships and to derive algorithms. The algorithmic mechanism is based on the concepts of k-time sequence matrices, static non-linear operators and discrete convolution. The design procedure exploits the ideas of contraction input-output mapping, weak system decoupling and symmetry of error-to-output map. An illustrative example of analysis and design of a pilot-scale plant is given.
