NBI-resistant zero-forcing equalizers for OFDM systems

The synthesis and the performance analysis of interference-resistant finite-impulse response (FIR) zero-forcing receivers for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems is considered. Specifically, by judiciously exploiting the redundancy contained in the cyclic prefix, a FIR-ZF minimum output-energy equalizer is proposed, which generalizes and outperforms existing receivers. Furthermore, the narrowband interference (NBI) rejection capabilities of the proposed equalizer are analyzed both theoretically and experimentally.
