Optical data backup method and device adopting the method

PURPOSE: An optical data back-up method and a device to which the method is applied are provided to back up data of an external storage device of a SD memory card standard or a USB to an optical disk drive by remote control. CONSTITUTION: An optical data backup device(1) includes an optical storage unit(11), an interface(25), and a control unit(20). The interface permits the connection of one or more kinds of external storage media. The control unit backs up data of the external storage media to the optical storage unit by external remote control.
