Energy efficiency for engineers

This volume sets forth the principles of efficient energy conservation through an analytical treatment of the various methods of conservation available. Using an applications-based approach, the authors consider the full range of energy-saving alternatives, emphasizing in each case the need to recoup capital outlays through annual savings. Subjects include energy conversion, energy recovery, process integration, and total energy schemes. In addition, methods for calculating the financial viability of energy schemes are set forth and clearly demonstrated. The text includes a multitude of worked examples and case studies.
