Design of optimized on-off control to improve efficiency of paralleled converter system

This paper describes design guideline on optimized on-off switching control to improve overall power conversion efficiency of paralleled converter system. The optimized on-off control changes the number of active modules according to load current. Key point of the control is to determine the on-off points of converter modules. Design guideline on determining optimized switching points is shown by introducing simple point-estimating manner. Effectiveness of the estimating method is confirmed by experiment.
