Digital Image Processing for Ophthalmology

This chapter describes what happens when images are digitized, how the images are stored and retrieved, how the images can be improved in appearance, how certain aspects of the image can be emphasized, how noise and unwanted features can be minimized, and how images may be analyzed. Other issues are the capabilities the user would want in a system they are wishing to purchase.
