Polarization-Interference Structure of Speckle Fields of the Rough Skin Surface

The contrast probability distributions of physiologically normal and pathologically changed skin derma tissue in the three diffraction zones (boundary field, Fresnel and Fraunhofer zones) have been investigated. It has been shown the sensitivity of higher statistical moments of contrast coordinate distributions in the boundary field to pathological processes of skin derma. The possibilities of accounting the statistics of phase singularities have been investigated as an additional diagnostic tool.
