Impact of Artificial Intelligence to Solve Pervasive Issues of Sensor Networks of Internet of Things

Abstract In the present era artificial intelligence (AI), sensor networks, and the Internet of Things (IoT) are the latest technologies, which are having the goal to improve the performance of the information and communication technology. These technologies are interconnected with each other. Sensor networks are the devices that collect information with the help of the different types of sensors and provide this information to IoT for processing, and IoT has a capability to host the flowcharts and algorithms to perform various functions of devices. AI software is necessary to deal with the complexity of the IoT. This chapter presents the impact of AI to solve pervasive issues of sensor networks of IoT. Started with a brief introduction of sensor network technology with its history, characteristics, and network formation topologies. In next section, various pervasive issues related to sensor networks in IoT devices and the features of the AI have been discussed.
