The Duffing Double Scroll

The piecewise nonlinearity of Chua's double scroll system is replaced with a cubic nonlinearity. This nonlinearity is analogous to that of the Duffing equation. It is shown through simulation studies that the resulting system responds in a qualitatively similar manner to Chua's system. Other systems with cubic feedback are discussed.
