Since 2008, the China-U.S. EcoPartnership Program has been developing smoothly with the strong support of the Chinese and American governments. The collaboration between East China Normal University in China and Tulane University in the United States was the first group of EcoPartnerships that focused upon wetland and Eco-development research within this unique framework. The EcoPartnership Program represents a leading collaboration and globally expanding model of providing long-term wetland preservation, wetland ecological restoration, improving wetland habitats, and in promoting economic sustainability. Through the cooperation between Chinese and American scientists, the China-U.S. EcoPartnership approach (Wetlands Research and Eco-development) has been striving to stimulate innovative research on eco-development theory, water purification materials, eco-development technologies, and eco-development patterns.
