Dr. Michael Gaines at m.gaines@miami.edu Dr. Mark Lomolino’s lab focus is biogeography, large-scale ecology, evolution and conservation of biotas inhabiting insular, montane, and fragmented ecosystems. His research combines empirical and theoretical approaches across the broad range of scales to explore patterns in the geography of life and develop effective strategies for conserving biological diversity and the geographic content.
